This cache is wheelchair accessible (please note, if you are caching alone in a wheelchair you may not be able to get to the cache container) depending on the weather. The container is located trailside, but you need to respect the elements of nature. The Wiouwash Trail crosses an inlet of Lake Butte des Morts and there is absolutely no protection from the wind, from any direction. We placed this cache on a blustery day when winds reached 40 mph and it was a challenge to access the container and not have the log sheet blow away!
Now that you have been warned have a great walk out and back to this very scenic view of the lake.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the Oshkosh Office of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin DNR managed lands require permission by means of a notification form that is submitted to the land manager. A copy of the form can be found at wi-geocaching.com/hide.
