*HISTORICAL NOTE: McGulpin 'Rock' -- 395 years ago, French explorers were plying the Straits of Mackinaw & used THIS ROCK to gage water levels and as a navagational aid in their canoes in these tumiltumous waters. This rock was noted in Native American pre-European history too.
