One Nighter Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hike a Photo: After a long time deciding to replace this container, I am not going to replace it after all. I am sad to give this cool spot up. I hope that someone else will place a cache here in the future. Thanks to everyone who took the time to go after my cache! Sorry for those who didn’t get the chance to claim a smiley! HAP

Geocache Description:

Okay it’s a long story behind how this cache has gotten it’s name, don’t ask. This is called “One Nighter” because of all the places this cache has been before it could have a resting place for the final. On a tree stump just off the second trail east.

This cache has been driven all the way to North Bend, Washington hoping to have a long life out of the city. This is a beautiful place. Rattlesnake Lake is a great place to come to skip rocks, fish or just enjoy a picnic away from the big city life style. I came here for other reasons, to have an easy place to plant a small cache

To locate the trail go east of Seattle on I-90 to exit 32, turn right off the exit and follow Cedar Falls Road SE to the sign that says Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area. Turn left and park or park across the road not blocking the gate while they’re still digging, that is, the contractors are digging. Then cross the road safely and once on NFD 50 Rd take trail to your left, the trail is called, Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Then at N47°26.349 W121°45.808 turn right off main trail to a grass trail go left and follow your GPS to a stump with a tree growing off the top (see photo) and take that narrow trail to your right to the cache site near a pond.

What inspired me to place the cache here was the pond, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

FTF will get to have non activated travel bug dog tags. There are other travel bugs to trade from, but please trade evenly.

Trail closes ½ hour after sunset and opens ½ hour before sunrise, that’s the rules.

Keep in mind once you head in for the cache the coords go all over the place, but with all the hints you should be able to walk right up to the cache.

Photos are always welcome, but please do not give away the cache itself, otherwise there would be no surprise for the next treasure hunter.

Congratulations on FTF to “darzorrish” I hope you get a chance to use the new TB soon.
