We have caches on footpaths, we have caches on the side of roads, I thought it time to combine the two. Let’s try byways. This cache is accessible by foot or an off road vehicle.
At the time of the cache being placed I was able to PARK WITHIN ARMS REACH of my car and I was able to place the cache.
Although you will be able to get within a few meters of the cache without specialist equipment the final STRETCH will need something OUTSIDE THE BOX. How about that for a Cache and Dash!
The container has a seasonal theme and would not look out of place during Christmas in the home and certainly doesn’t look out of place where it is placed. So look hard. Inside you will find an interesting water tight nano log that has made its home.
This cache is found on a marked byway and can VERY muddy and wet so a 4X4 will be needed if you want to cache and dash it.
You will need a good eye for this one. It is large enough for small waterproof swaps but not the usual type of container that one would expect.
If you decide to walk to the cache site you will also need some additional specialist equipment that an old 4X4 would offer!!
WARNING -?If you decide to drive this be aware that although I have accessed this cache by 4x4, the off road part is narrow and bushes do overhang the route and may scratch your vehicle. The road can get very wet and muddy.
This has been a bit of a puzzle for a few, needing several visits before the find, so i will give another small clue. Approach from the clearing side of the fence and not the path side.
