Geocache Description:

A very quick and easy cache. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF CAR PARK CLOSING TIMES ON THE GATE IF PARKING IN BASIN. No special footwear needed.

Cache has been relocated due to frequent muggling. An ideal parking place is Bowling Harbour's visitors car park
N 55 55.817 W 004 28.968 Do not park in access road, drive VERY slowly down side of railway arches, there are plenty of spaces in parking area.
The parking is adjacent to the first canal basin, a houseboat moored here was featured during the Taggart episode 9 called Root of Evil, it was the home of character Julie Adamson.
This episode was broadcast in 1988 The basin has been fully refurbished since then, there are some interesting wood carvings round the basin too. Why not take a walk along The Saltings when you are here, see this link (visit link)
