In one of the many gully's around Hameldon Hill
The summit of Hameldon is home to many communication masts including Radio Lancashire. Close by is also the weather radar station that looks like a golf ball.
This cache is located just off the Burnley Way being a five minute stroll from a metalled lane. Please take care not to obstruct the lane as access is required 24 / 7. There is plenty of parking near to the cache and this is obvious on arrival. Take care on this lane in winter conditions as it is not treated.
The cache, a cylinder, is in a cleft in the side of the gully so please replace and cover to prevent the cache from falling out.
Although not difficult terrain a wee bit of agility may be required to gain access hence a conservative rating of 3.
It is quite possible to combine this cache with those around the Clowbridge Reservoir and also with Loveclough Suprise.
The co-ordinates are an average but led me to within a couple of feet of the location.
