Cache is a small tab lock box with a log and pen and some small swaps. Wheelchair friendly most of the way but last 25ft definately not.
Cache is placed in Rodeing Foot Wood. Part of the beautiful tranquil park area right in the middle of Ballymoney town.
You can park in several locations to reach this cache. There are 2 carparks, one is on the Bravallen Road and the other is on Armour Avenue.
The mixed woodland including poplar, alder and birch was planted in 1979 and provides a haven for wildlife. A good carpet of celandine can be found in this area. Butterflies such as speckled wood and orange tip are common visitors and are attracted by the more common species of bramble and nettle.
Walking through the park area, you can complete a 3.28km "Highway to Health" walk and also cycle along as it is part of the National Cycle Network Route 96.
Please put cache back carefully where you found it and make sure it is well covered.
There are notices at the carparks with closing times for the park. At the moment (autumn/winter) it is 4.30pm, but could be open later in the spring/summer months.
