A Shocking View from SGL 138 Traditional Cache

You will be looking for a 30 cal. ammo box on SGL 138. Round trip hike will be approximately 1.4 miles. This includes an elevation gain of approximately 600 feet over 0.7 miles, this is the reason for a “4” terrain rating. Parking coordinates are N39* 47.624, W079* 44.691. From the parking area you will take the ATV trail which heads up the hill. At the first intersection you will take the path to the left. Coordinates for the intersection are N39* 47.554, W079* 44.729. Once you arrive at the top, look for a cairn at these coordinates for the best approach. (N39* 47.267, W079* 44.411) Depending on the season, approximately 50 yards of bushwacking will be required to find the cache. The view is awesome from the cache site. We have placed another cache (Take A Little Roost - GC1HWFB ) about half way up the trail so you can take a rest and add another smiley for your troubles.
