A tradition of placing special caches to mark milestones within the geocaching community was introduced into the Chicago area. We thought it was a nice idea, at the time.
I have known jack99 for some time; at least in geocaching times. He invited me to help with a seminar for scouts and we hit the geocaching trail afterward. We've made a lot of the same finds along the way and I have enjoyed making finds of his hides as well. He was one of the first to complete the Illinois Delorme challenge, I haven't yet; and has found cache' in most of the 50 states not to mention a couple of foreign lands. This cache is to commemorate his 1,000th find milestone. Join me in congratulating him while you find this cache. WTG!
