Tay Creek United Church Cemetery, the resting place of an Irish immigrant family who came to this area in the early to mid 1800's. Irish but of Viking decent, dating back to around 1066!
The coordinates mark the parking area and not the final cache, to find the final cache you must answer the questions below and insert the answers in for the missing coordinates.
One of the Irish families immgrating from Ireland in the 1830's was the Tomilson family. They settled in the Tay Creek area and farmed here for generations to follow, however there are few left in the area now as they have spread across Canada and to other parts.
In this cemetery you will find stone dating back to 1848. Across from this cemetery and church you will find another church, the Church of England, my grandmother always said "No self-respecting Tomilson would be caught dead in that cemetery", quite a rivalry in those days between the two groups!
