The amble along our
favourite part of The Torrens continues with this the second cache
in a series of caches, slowly released over time. Some may have
clues for a final cache, whilst others will have no
clue.
Lets Go
Calumphing II – Stepping Stones
The cache is located near
the Stepping Stones that the kids enjoy crossing back and forth
numerous times when on our walk. Occasionally the river is too high
and the nearby bridge provides the route across, and also a good
vantage point to check the flow.
The picture below was taken
prior to the commencement of work to clean up the final flow of the
river out to sea.
At the initial waypoint on
the East Side and the given waypoint on the West Side you will find
a tag with a two digit number on. The cache can be located
at:
S 34°
55.5X E 138°
31.2Y
Only thing is I can’t
remember whether the East Side is X and the West Side is Y or it’s
the other way around. I’m sure you’ll work it out (and please don’t
answer this question in your log J).
The two stars for the
terrain are if you take the crossing, otherwise if the bridge is
used the cache should be wheelchair friendly.
Enjoy
