Seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wird in Laucha am Hang geflogen. Nicht nur aus der Luft ist die Gegend etwas Besonderes, auch am Boden sind bei gutem Wetter Ausblicke und Ansichten zu genießen.
Die Stationen befinden sich jeweils etwas abseits des Flieger-Rundwanderweges (ca. 7 km – 2 Stunden Wanderung). Alle Stationen sind über Fahr– oder Wanderwege erreichbar. Viel Spass! (English? - See long description)
Seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wird in Laucha am Hang geflogen. Nicht nur aus der Luft ist die Gegend etwas Besonderes, auch am Boden sind bei gutem Wetter Ausblicke und Ansichten zu genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist es in den Sommermonaten, den Sonnenuntergang vom Hang aus zu beobachten!!
Die Stationen befinden sich jeweils etwas abseits des Flieger-Rundwanderweges (ca. 7 km – 2 Stunden Wanderung). Alle Stationen sind über Fahr– oder Wanderwege erreichbar - bei Hochwasser der Unstrut ist allerdings der Radwanderweg zwischen Station 4 und 5 überflutet. Viel Spass!
Since beginning 20th century someone flies in Laucha . Not only from air the area is something special, also at the ground is in good weather of views and opinions to be enjoyed. It is very recommendable in the summer months to observe the sunset!! The stations are somewhat in each case off the flier round walking way (approx. 7 km - 2 hours). All stations are attainable over driving or walking ways - with flood of the Unstrut however the cycle path between station 4 and 5 is flooded. Much fun!

Parken solltest Du bei N 51 14,207 E 11 40,908. Du stehst vor Haus Nr. AB.

Parking = station 1 - thorn village
You should park nearby N 51 14,207 E 11 40,908. You stand in front of house No. AB. Opposite information arrows show the flier round walking way (marking yellow square).
Station 2 – Ehemalige Reichssegelflugschule
Nun geht es erst einmal den Berg hinauf – das Zielgebäude immer in Sicht. Das Gebäude diente bis 1967 der Segelflugausbildung, wurde dann Krankenhaus und soll der fliegerischen Nutzung erhalten bleiben. Das Gelände ist privat – gegen einen Spaziergang um das Gebäude ist aber nichts einzuwenden. Bei N 51 14, 458 E 11 41,500 stehst Du an einem runden Funkmast. Die Leiter ist durch eine Blechklappe geschützt – die Anzahl der Klappenscharniere sei C.
Station 2 - former sail flight school
First walk on to the mountain - the goal building always in view. The building served as the sail flight training to 1967, then as hospital and it is to remain for the aeronautical use. The area is private – but you can walk around the building and take a look. At N 51 14, 458 E 11 41,500 you stand between two radio masts. The ladder to the round radio mast is protected by a sheet metal flap - the number of flap hinges is C.
Station 3 – Beyersches Hölzchen
Entlang des Weges an der Hangkante liegt rechts der Flugplatz Laucha-Dorndorf. Natürlich kann man dort bei Flugbetrieb auch mitfliegen – einfach mal am Start fragen (Flugverkehr beachten). Mitten am Hang entspringt bei N 51 14,767 E 11 41,178 unregelmäßig eine „Überfallquelle“ aus dem Hang – warum, erfährst Du aus der aufgestellten Erklärung. Die Jahreszahl am Quelleneingang sei DEFG.
Der Zugang erfolgt über den Weg von der Hang-Modellstartstelle schräg hinunter auf halbe Höhe de Hangs Richtung NO und ist im Laufe der Zeit etwas zugewachsen.
Station 3 - Beyersches Hölzchen
Along the way lies on the right the airfield Laucha Dorndorf. Naturally you also can fly there with a glider – ask the pilots at the starting point (consider air traffic). In the middle of the distance to the Unstrut sometimes is a „source” at N 51 14,767 E 11 41,178 – why sometimes, you may read on the set up explanation. The year at the source entrance is DEFG.
Station 4 – Fledermaushöhle/Unstrutblick
Zurück zum Fliegerrundweg entlang des Flugplatzes. Bei N 51 15,245 E 11 40,834 befindet sich rechts des Weges eine Fledermaushöhle. Die „Hausnummer“ der Fledermäuse sei HI (bitte nicht zu nah ran).
Entlang des Weges hangabwärts zur Unstrut bietet sich nach ca. 200m eine Bank als Rastplatz an mit Blick auf die Glocken- und Fliegerstadt Laucha an der Unstrut.
Station 4 - Fledermaushöhle/Unstrutblick
Back to the flier round way along the airfield. At N 51 15,245 E 11 40,834 there is a bat cave on the right of the way. „The house number“of the bats is HI (go not near).
200m along the way slope downward to the Unstrut a bank is offered as lay-by with view of the bell and flier city “Laucha an der Unstrut”.
Station 5 – Glockens-Eck
Über den Radwanderweg unten entlang der Unstrut trifft man bei N 51 14,670 E 11 40,940 auf tektonischen Aufbrüche. Die Legende erzählt vom Gleinaer Bauer „Glockens“, der nach Besuch der Schenke den Weg verfehlte und mit Fuhrwerk vom Fels in die Unstrut stürzte.
Die Anzahl der Metallpfosten an der Absperrung zur Unstrut sei JK.
Station 5 – Glockens-corner
Over the cycle walking way along down the Unstrut at N 51 14,670 E 11 40,940 you meets tectonic departures. The legend tells: The farmer “Glockens” from Gleina, who missed the way after visit the bar, fells with cart over the rock into the Unstrut. The number of metal posts at the closing to the Unstrut is JK.
