Geocache Description:

As the title suggests, you have to walk to this cache. Please don't try and park on the road to the north, there are no parking places and it is a busy road.
The best place to park is probably near the Junction of Spittal Park and Appleby Road.

I wanted to put out a couple of caches which form a nice wander on the outskirts of Kendal. The caches can be done separately as short walks or linked together (and possibly with some other caches!) to form a longer walk.
The route spends most of its time travelling across fields which can get wet and muddy so wear suitable footwear!

From Appleby Road look for the footpath sign which takes you down Spittal Park. At the far end of the cul-de-sac you will pick up the path which will take you to the woods. At the time of setting the one of the fields was flooded to form a nice pond which many birds (including some Lapwings) were taking advantage of!

This cache is set in Spittal woods. This is an old quarry and a great place to explore. As it is a quarry there are some crags and steep slopes so please be careful.
This is a fairly busy wood so please rehide the cache well.

Hope enjoy the hunt
