Then set out for a fun filled day of
caching!
It's
at a great place called 'B & J's American
Cafe'
This
is the first event ever in LaPorte and wanted to have it somewhere
that was a point of historical interest as well.
The restaurant I chose has been restored to it's decor of the
1940's. Many of the items are original to the building including
counters and stools, the buffets, tin ceiling, porcelain floors,
wood paneling, the lincrusta on the east wall and the front entry
buffet. The building was built in 1915 and has been a restaurant
for over 80 years!
Details: Time: 7:00 am - 9:00 am CST
(They open at 7:00 am and there's plenty of parking
in the lot just west of the building)
It is
planned to have several unpublished caches available for all to
seek that day, so there will be many chances for FTFs
and the prizes that go with them!
The new caches will be handed out at 8:45 am (not before)
so enjoy a hearty breakfast first.
There will be a table for Travel Bugs if anyone has any they want
to trade or just pick up and move along.
If you have coins you would like to share with everyone...bring
them along!
WI-FI is available as well!
There will be door prizes given away that morning too!!
Quick Note: Anyone who might be traveling and want to stay in a
hotel Saturday night (Nov. 29th) in LaPorte, there's a hotel that
is offering a good rate to geocachers, just email me for
info.
