Geocache Description:

Located in Emmenegger Nature Park in Kirkwood, Missouri.

Meramec River forms the western boundary of this nature park where you will search for this new cache. Emmenegger Nature Park, named for Russell E. Emmenegger, is a 94 acre nature park located by I-270, I-44 and the Meramec River in Kirkwood, MO.

The official opening of the park occurred on June 1, 1975. The goal was for the natural beauty of the park to be the primary attraction.

Remember to bring your sturdy tennis shoes or hiking boots.
Originally, this area contained a nice swimming pool owned by the city of Kirkwood. I can remember bringing my daughter here. The area now is all natural and has several nice hiking trails.

Popular with hikers and nature enthusiasts, everyone can enjoy the outdoors close to your own backyard. So, stow that dozen donuts back in the fridge, grab the kids, and go hunt a cache.

This cache was originally a multicache with some math added in. It is now a straight forward traditional cache. The cache is located in a very interesting area of the park I stumbled upon by chance. It is about 200 feet from an established trail. You won’t have any trouble with geo-muggles here, I hope. This may require just a little bushwacking or, if you are familiar with the trails, it will require less effort. It depends on the approach you take to get there. Please replace the cache as it was found.
