Halfmile Hill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dolly Duo: It's gone. Even having a Guardian Angel couldn't prevent this cache from being muggled. We were surprised it lasted this long. However, we had fun bringing 87 cachers to Bristol's Half-Mile Hill over a span of 18 months. Now it goes on the archive list. Thanks everyone. Dolly Duo

Geocache Description:

After a long dry spell of searching for some challenging scenic spots in East Bay, RI without geocaches, we just had to get out and drop a quickie near the top of Halfmile Hill. Not one of our usual scenic caches, but definitely our easiest. You won't get a nosebleed or experience dizziness as you scale Bristol's 2nd highest hill. However, you may experience accuracy problems from the canopy & water tower. This area is extremely busy, so be watchful & very discreet.

Cache is a small 4X6 clear plastic sealable container, initially containing a logbook & pencil, four State Quarters, a Good Luck Penny and some toys & trinkets. Be sure to return & cover cache as you found it. Again, this area is extremely busy, so be watchful & very discreet. Try hard NOT to search at night, because that might surely blow its cover. NOTE: This cache has a Guardian Angel watching over it. So don't be surprised to get some helpful company during your quest. Many of the cachers have already met the most-helpful neighbor who lives just south of GZ. It is such a welcomed switch to meet an anti-muggle for a change.

Parking is available just north of cache. Park on the west side of Hope Street, at the 'Harding Estates' turn out. There is plenty of room to park. Stay on the west side & DON'T CROSS THE STREET. If you are next to the hide, RIPTA Bus #60 to Newport may stop to pick you up.

Congrats to grapefruit42 for FTS. Always nice to see some new signatures in the log.
