On the Millennium Circular Walk, steep hill out of Bingley
When I started GeoCaching I was surprised that there was nothing between the lower Bingley walks (4Rise Cache) and Eldwick thence on-wards over to Ilkley. Having spent some time looking for suitable locations for new caches that I thought you would enjoy. I start with these and hope they help take you on an interesting walk, part of the Millennium Circular Walk.
Site is under light tree cover so have averaged co-ordinates which I hope you will find accurate. Can be done on its own or with Missing link 2. You don't have to go crashing through bushes to find this cache and there is a deep hole (with a fence round it) that should be avoided about 20 Metres away.
Depending on what length of walk you want there is plenty of free parking on Beck Lane (N53.51.386:W1.50.225) and a Café & Toilets at the 5Rise Locks (note only open weekends non-main tourist season). The 5Rise Locks them selves are well worth a visit. Walking from the suggested start point is steep and rocky in places not suitable for buggies – unless you go the long way round by road and paved footpaths. In plastic box inside camouflage bag. Not many finds so extended clue in the hope that helps speed up the find.
