This multi-cache has a single waypoint that contains offsets to
the final. You'll want to bring a pen or pencil to write down the
offsets and do your math. :)
I suggest you park at the posted parking co-ordinates near the
Bedford High School as you'll have a very nice walk along a trail
in the woods (the old Country Road) for just under a half of a
mile. There is a sign at the parking spot that says "No
unauthorized use" but walking the trail is authorized. You can find
places to park closer to the first waypoint if you're just
interested in getting a smiley as quickly as possible but you'll
miss a nice trail and walk! :)
We've long been intrigued by the Milford and Manchester Railroad
that was only in use for a few short years.
The single waypoint is placed a few feet away from where the
railroad bed crossed the old Country Road in Bedford, NH. The
railroad went north from this place before making a turn to the
east at Bow Lane to run into the Bedford station. If
you look northwest into the field from the waypoint vicinity you
should be able to see the old stone culvert over which the
train tracks passed.
The northern portion of the railroad bed is now part of a farm.
You may or may not hear "moos" or be observed by bovine watchers.
I'm hoping that they don't muggle the waypoint. :)
At the waypoint there is no need to go into the woods past any
of the "No trespassing" signs or cross any fences in order to find
the waypoint.
Please leave the waypoint camouflage in place as otherwise the
waypoint will be easily spotted by muggles. This is a popular trail
for folks to walk their dogs so be prepared for walkers to show up
suddenly.
