Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in honor of the Pelicans we often see out on the island in the Columbia River.

You are looking for a camo'ed lock n lock about 3" x 6".

When I stopped here to check out this spot earlier this summer there was an Osprey, with a fish, sitting on top of the utility pole at the parking area. He talked to me the whole time I was there & never flew away. Geese and ducks are common and we've seen Bald Eagles in the trees to the south along the river. You never can tell what other birds you might see passing through.

The Columbia River runs to the west of the highway and there is a great view of the river to the north & south.

There is off road parking here for a couple of vehicles. This is a busy highway so keep an eye on kids and/or dogs and be careful when pulling on or off the highway.
