This is a continuation of the Scenic Routers Old Way series along the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow (okay well this one isn’t exactly but it still sort of follows that theme)
We thought that since the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow had been straightened out so much over the years there would be many locations that would be befitting of a continuation of this series. After a quick call to the Scenic Routers we decided it would be nice to continue the series back towards the Blue Mountains.
This cache is an area known as forty bends and while you can’t follow the old road all the way you will get the idea of how it most likely got its name.
