The Howe Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reddanbydan: We checked the location and indeed, the cache seems to have gone during the wall build. As the container was an expensive one designed to look like a rock and there isn't another suitable cache location in the immediate vicinity, it is with regret that we have decided to archive The Howe. Please visit our other caches.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located on The Howe, part of Danby Low Moor in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

The Howe, as this hill is known locally, has beautiful views across to Castleton and up Danby Dale. The Castleton and Danby War Memorial is located here and there are several benches on which to sit and ponder life. The nearby village of Castleton has a good number of amenities, including several pubs, a post office, a couple of shops, an art gallery and a tea room.
