2-14-2025 - I completely replaced this cache - new box, new swag and a slightly new location. I also bumped up the terrain rating from 3 to 3.5.
NOTE1: I could not find the old box, after some fairly extensive searching. So if anyone finds the old box, please either carry it out for me (and throw it away, since it leaks - if you can repair it, feel free to keep it and use it) or place it somewhere obvious, send me a message and I'll go get it. There is a photo in the gallery of what the new box looks like - DON'T remove the new box.
NOTE2: The coords are still essentially the same, so I couldn't update on here. Here's the new location: N 034 41.707 W 083 24.692. If you found it before, it's not quite as far up the hill as it was. If you see yellow "PRIVATE PROPERTY" signs, you've gone too far up the hill.

We wanted to do something special when we hit the 1,000 mark, so we decided to place a cache. (Our 1,000th find was Top Dawg, GC1FKP4, Oct. 11, 2008.)
We're using an ammo-type box (actually it's a box made for naval flares) given to us by Mr. EBBJr's uncle, who is now 94. He also gave us our first GPS and got us started in this little hobby, so it's fitting that we use the box he gave us. Please note: the box is a little different and has to be latched on all four sides! Thanks for closing it securely so things won't get wet.
The cache isn't difficult to find. It's about a half-mile hike on a great trail, and there are two other caches farther down on the same trail (We Don't Need No Stinkin Blue Blazes, GCFFDA and What Blue Blazes, GCE689).
Also in celebration of our geocaching career, we hid this cache on the fourth anniversary of our first find! It wasn't planned that way, it just happened.
Note: when we scouted a spot for the cache, we had no trouble getting a signal. However, when we actually did the hide, coverage was spotty. It's a good, fairly easy trail. The higher terrain rating is due to the ending spot.
Also note: hint is a moderate spoiler.
Small note: As required by the USFS for caches hidden in the Chattahoochee National Forest the cache is prominantly labeled as a geocache and the label includes the GC1J82H waypoint number and the owner's e-mail address. Enjoy!
