Geocache Description:

My Van's Mausoleum... OK, here is my story. Let me begin by explaining what a "mausoleum" is.

Mausoleum : (plural mausoleums or mausoleum) Pronunciation - mô's?-le'?m

1) A large stately tomb or a building housing such a tomb or several tombs.
2) A gloomy, usually large room or building.

Back in 2006, I was in the process of teaching my girlfriend how to drive. Well, on the way to a day at the river at Steel Bridge. I decided to let her drive around Whiting Field Circle. The car was a 1987 Dodge caravan. We had five people in the van. Myself, my girlfriend, two of my guy friends, and one of her girlfriends.

She was approaching turn two. She cut the corner to fast and blew the driver side front tire. Causing us to hit the pole. No One was hurt, but the van was totaled. :(

This cache is in memory of my van. If you look at all the poles, you can notice that one is new.
