Spring Creek Reservoir Park located at the edge of town, is a quiet
area for nature lovers. The park provides benches and picnic areas
among the scenic spots and water flows. The park itself is handicap
accessible and open to pedestrian traffic. To get to the parking
area head to downtown Steamboat Springs and take a right on 3rd St.
Turn right onto Fish Creek Falls road and then a left onto Amethyst
and look for Spring Creek Trail on your right just after the
church.
This whole area caters to those who enjoy mountain biking, trail
running, hiking, horseback riding, or snow shoeing. Stealth will be
required in the summer as this is a popular recreation area. I gave
it a terrain rating of 3 because you may need snow shoes in the
