It has been awhile
since I have hide a cache so I better get going. The cache lies on
a circle of radius 1.00000 mile. The equation of a circle with a
radius of 1 mile is
X^2
+Y^2 = 1
This is
the equation of a circle centered about the origin (0,0) of the
Cartesian coordinates plot. For this problem REF01 is the center of
the circle.
The
line: Y = 0.75X + 0.3
Bisects the circle and goes through the
location on the circle where the cache lies. See the attached
problem description for the problem. Units are in stature miles. I
am not a Mathematician but I play one on TV.
