This is an ORV recreation area at Kaw Lake just East of Kaw City across the lake to the parking area. Bring a ORV or bring your hiking shoes. This is at the shortest a 1.8 mile roundtrip hike.
Welcome to Kaw Lake ORV area. Be mindful of the ORV in the area if there are vehicles in the parking area as they may be riding in the area.
MICRO's in the WOODS..... I THINK NOT.... You will be searching for 3 YES.. ! ! 3 Ammo cans filled with different goodies. No plastic containers here chewed on by the locals... These are grade A ammo can's hopefully water tight.
The first leg of the journey will take you to the Hotwheel Garage Elevation 1103'. This ammo box is filled with both carded and loose hotwheels plenty for everyone in the group. There is a log book so you can log what you took and what you left. Most important, written inside the lid are the coords for ammo box #2.
Ammo box #2 Stress relief Elevation 1120'- This box is full of pink pig stress balls. If you have some stress when you get here take one and squeeze it until it squeeeeels! ! ! If you have a stress ball too trade GREAT! ! Stress balls are the little nerf looking things that some companies give as swag. They come in all shapes and sizes. Jesus rolled this stone away, can you find it and roll it away? IMPORTANT ! ! Get the coords on the lid of this one for Ammo box #3
Ammo box #3 cache containers Elevation 1100'. I've included some elusive micro containers that I either made or purchased. Feel free to take one and leave one of you own. Starting contents, camo egg, lady bug egg, 2 nano plastic containers, a camo container holder like I've used in my micros in the park, an electrical blank, also some miscellanious swag, log book and pen, a Geocoin that is ready to travel and a TB I moved from across the lake.
The first 2 can's are standard OD, the 3rd is my first camo paint job.
You can follow ATV trails to within 400' of stage 1, 200' of stage 2, 80' of stage 3.
After I got them all planted I started at the parking area and road as straight as I could and the distance was 1.8 miles. I did take a trail to the 2nd that was a little out of the way. So many trails sooo many wrong turns... Should you return on the trail you came on or take a different one? Enjoy ! ! !
