This is almost a park and grab. a good place for Travel bugs.
The cache is now a waterproof container,slightly camouflaged and hopefully more water resistant than the old container.
The parking place is a small park dedicated to the long lost Village of Golden Gate. You can see some of the small millstones from the golden Gate Mill there. There is also the golden Gate Cemetery about a mile to the south. It is all that is left of a wild little boom town. When the snows get deep, you may want to park closer to the road and hike in, rather than getting stuck. I am not sure how often they plow the parking area.
