Geocache Description:

A travel bug hotel conveniently located off Route 315 near the campus of the Ohio State University and Battelle.

DC Travel Bug Hotel Vacancy SignGuest Guidelines

A travel bug hotel is best when loaded with occupants. Please try to leave a bug if you take a bug, so the hotel is never empty. However, if you're close by and can pick up a bug to help fulfill its mission, without leaving any, that's OK too. There's always a vacancy, so bugs dropped off to help move them along are always welcome!

Amenities include items for trade, travel bugs, a guest log and a disposable camera. Please take a picture of yourself and leave the camera for the next person. Let hotel management know when the camera is full and it will be replaced. Include some tips to help identify your pic (e.g., what you are wearing) so we can post the pics with a name when the film is developed.

Congratulations to DJTALCOTT for being the first guest to check in at the hotel!! He stopped by the day of the opening (12/10/2008), traded TBs/coins and picked up the FTF prize ($5 Starbucks gift card)!

Hotel Description

The hotel is a black mailbox located 5' above ground on the brick wall. Open the mail flap, pull out the chain anchored on the left side of the flap, and use the key to open the cache. Please lock the cache and put the key back down in the mail slot to prevent easily muggling.

Affiliated Resorts

This hotel has a remote management team in Davenport, Florida (near Orlando) staffed by Mitch & the Pit Crew and Providence 101. If you have a bug that's trying to get to Florida, we might be able to ship it to our remote team. Be sure to leave a note in the log so we know we've got an occupant that's trying to arrange transportation to Davenport. We'll do our best to get it there safe and secure.

Hotel Management

Permission to place this cache was given by Joe Rotella (known on GeoCaching.com as DEZINR), CTO of the business located near this cache. If you look left when facing the cache, you'll see his office. Be sure to wave "Hi!" if you see him working away. He would much rather be geocaching, sending Tweets or on Facebook!
