Geocache Description:

This is a small container so bring your own pencil. It is big enough for a small travel coin. Please leave a trackable if you take one.

The histerical sign says:

Providence Forge W-20 Here about 1770, Charles Jeffery Smith, a Presbyterian minister, settled and, with William Holt, built a forge for making farm implements. Francis Jerdone became a partner in 1771. A militia camp was established here in 1781, and Lafayette was here in July and August, 1781 New Kent County

But,

There is much more to old P. F. than meets the eye. Sure, we only have one red light and yes, they do roll up the sidewalks at dark. This little town contains everything that one needs: a grocery store, drug store, library, hardware store, a few eaterys and even a game checking station. We like being a small town but don't blink, you might miss the sights!

FTF gets a new, unactivated Travel Slug!

Congrats to Spring1 & Shep1978 for TFTF!
