This multi-cache follows a one mile section of the Huntington Road, first used in 1845 by a group of travelers from the Lost Meek Wagon Train. They, along with others who later used it, left objects near the trail in various locations. Many of the artifacts are on display at the Deschutes Historic Center Museum, along with more detailed interpretive information.
The Huntington Road trail has significant historical and cultural value, enough to be considered eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. As always, be kind to your environment. Thank you.
