Geocache Description:

Another of my distant cousins is the Abert’s Squirrel. He is well known for his ear hair, (which only gets longer with age) or ear tufts. He is kinda forgetful and when he DOES remember to show up at family reunions- he always brings a dish made from ponderosa pines… in the summer its ponderosa pine cones, ponderosa pine flowers and ponderosa berries.. and in the winter its nothing but ponderosa bark mush and ponderosa mistletoe.

I can tell you that ponderosa does taste a little similar to vanilla (humans can smell this in the bark). And I like ponderosa as much as the next groundhog, but all the time is too much!

He sometimes forgets where he has buried his ponderosa seeds, and then they spout!! Making more ponderosa trees.. for next year’s family reunion.
