We found this location while looking for a RickRich cache
nearby. When we first checked it out we knew immediately that this
was an excellent place for our first cache. It highlights a natural
wooded area in the heart of a major metro area.
The Hiawatha Oaks is a long narrow strip of woods that is
bordered by Hiawatha Ave on the east side and an apartment building
parking lot on the west. Please be respectful of the residents on
each side of the woods, and enter the woods on the Cambridge Street
- north of the cache location. It's about 300 feet from the sign to
the cache location. Parking is tricky here, the closest legal
parking is the restaurants along Cambridge Avenue, about .2 miles
away.
This is a regular cache suitable for the largest of travel bugs,
and toys for the kids. The cache is easily retrievable with
materials on the cache site. The cache is winter friendly too!
Thanks for visiting our cache and enjoy the Hiawatha Oaks!
