Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camouflaged ammo tin about 250mm x 150mm x
120mm that has been hidden to give you a slight challenge, hence the
rating. My grateful thanks to hobbesyhobbit, for assisting me when
setting this cache.

THIS CACHE IS “NOT” SUITABLE IN DARKNESS OR SNOW OF ANY DEPTH. BE AWARE OF THORNS.

The coordinates above are for parking only.

The cache coordinates are spot on, so do not wander about thinking your in the wrong place. I can guarantee you will be in the correct place, it’s just not obvious, and it looks like it’s not there too, but you will have to look a bit harder. If you think wandering about will help you…. It won’t, you will just get further away from the cache. Persevere.

Please do not trample about or rip anything off.

You will only find the cache if you first solve the 2 questions written below. Once you reach GZ you will have a short task to complete before you can get your reward. It’s not too complicated, just a little different! Answer the following questions and then change the letters of your answers into numbers for your coordinates.

This cache is very different to the normal caches as you will be doing, and looking for something completely different. The challenge will be very obvious when you see it. Just follow your instincts.

Question 1. Which word in the NATO Phonetic Alphabet would score the most points in a game of Scrabble? Convert your answer using the following grid to get your northing coordinates

A=1, B=3, C= 5, D= 6, E=6, F=8, G=9, H=3, I=0, J=5, K=8, L=9, M=4 N=0, O=8, P=7, Q=4, R=5, S=9, T=2, U=5, V=1, W=5, X=5, Y=2, Z=6

Question 2. What type of food is John Montagu credited with inventing in 1765, who said that he liked this food because be could continue to gamble at the same time as eating it? Convert your answer using the 2nd grid below, to get your westings coordinates

A=0, B=8, C=8, D=2, E=0, F=4, G=1, H=0, I=9, J=7, K=9, L=5, M=9 N=0, O=9, P= 2, Q=5, R=8, S=0, T=3, U=2 V=7, W=8, X=5, Y=1, Z=28

Now you have both coordinates, off you go to find your cache! Good luck!!!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO LEAVE EVERYTHING AS YOU FIND IT. TUCK THINGS AWAY AFTER YOU HAVE PUT THE CACHE BACK & TRY NOT DAMAGE ANYTHING, Especially living plants etc- It’s not necessary.

CAREFUL WHERE YOU STAND- Try not to leave an easy trail to follow

SPOILERS- Please do not take any photographs and be careful what you say on line. Feel free to say your real thoughts in the log book.

TRADES- When placed, the can held 1coin, 2 bugs, FTF Certificate and a few trinkets. Please trade evenly or trade up, i.e. coin for coin/bug and vis versa whenever possible.
