Bob Amos Cache Trail

This cache is near the begining of the Bob Amos Park Multi-Use-Trail. It is replacing a previous cache, "Where the Asphalt Ends", since that cache and that log has gone missing plus the asphalt no longer ends there. I hope everyone got a chance to find and log that one before it was archieved. This new cache will give you the opportunity to log another find.

The Bob Amos Park Multi-Use Trail is an amazing trail. It is hard to believe it is so close to downtown Pikeville. It has a great surface which is either asphalt or compacted gravel which makes it great for walks, hikes, jogging, or mountain biking. There are a few areas where you can run into some loose gravels that could making biking a little dangerous. The trail is approximatley 2.5 miles one way. It does not loop around so you have walk back or have someone pick you up at the other end. The trail does have some inclines. Within the 1st mile it gains 600 feet in elevation. The trail is pet friendly as well but leashes are required. And the greatest fact is, there are around 10 caches along the trail.

Be safe, have fun, enjoy the trail and bring your own pen (A pencil was provided but you never know so bring your own in case its not there). Would really hate for you not to be able to sign the log.
