Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Tardree Forest, Co. Antrim.

Tardree Forest contains a pleasant mix of coniferous, with some deciduous trees. Handy parking can be had at Duncan's Car Park
(N54*46.453; W006*09.439). The cache is hidden about 10 metres from a zigzag on a short forest walk. This walk follows an attractive meandering route close to a little stream and around an overgrown disused quarry. On the way round listen out for Crossbills and Jays, and in springtime you might even hear the croak of spawning frogs and a roding Woodcock.
The cache box(small box within a bigger box) contains the usual assortment of swops. The tree canopy, which is quite dense in places will, no doubt, create a challenge for your GPSr - it just adds to the mystery and adventure - so happy hunting.
Having made it to the forest you might consider walking the other trails and searching for the caches hidden beside them. All in all, there is nice afternoons caching awaiting the energetic.
