Questa cache mi è venuta in mente al Geopizza Event di Firenze dove ho raccontato questo aneddoto interessando e facendo sorridere tutti i presenti....
E'una curiosa storia avvenuta realmente molti anni fa alla Chiesa di Castelnuovo, una frazione di Prato, alle porte di Poggio a Caiano.
La parrocchia di Castelnuovo era molto povera e ogni Natale il parroco era costretto,per mancanza di mezzi, a chiedere in prestito al Vescovo una statuetta di gesso di Gesù Bambino, affinché i fedeli potessero adorarlo e baciarlo, come si usa dalle nostre parti.
Finalmente , dopo anni e anni, la comunità fece , con grandi sacrifici,una colletta e fu ordinata a Deruta, in Umbria, famosa per le sue ceramiche, una bellissima statua di Gesù Bambino.
Fu organizzata una festa e il parroco decise di esporlo ai fedeli e di farlo baciare ai parrocchiani.
Ci fu grande discussione su chi dovesse avere l' onore di dare il primo bacio alla preziosa statuetta e fu deciso che la fortunata fosse la parrocchiana piu' anziana, una signora di quasi novanta anni.
Come il parroco le porse il Gesù Bambino, l' arzilla vecchietta se lo prese in braccio per baciarlo, ma la statuetta le cadde di mano e si schiantò in terra in mille pezzi.......
Questa storia dette origine a un detto molto popolare a Prato e dintorni, ancora in uso ai tempi nostri.
Quando si vuole indicare una azione che dura un attimo nel tempo, o una cosa che si acquista e viene subito sciupata, si usa dire: "fare la fine di Gesù Bambino di Castelnuovo, NATO E MORTO......."

This cache is reffering to a curious story who took place several years ago to the Church of Castelnuovo, a fraction of Prato, near Poggio a Caiano.
The parish of Castelnuovo was very poor and every Christmas the parish priest was forced, for lack of money, to ask in loan to the Bishop a chalk statue of Child Jesus .
Finally, after years and years, the community did, with great sacrifice, a collection and ordered to Deruta, in Umbria, famous for its ceramics, a beautiful statue of the Child Jesus.
It was organized a celebration and the priest decided to subject it to the faithful and parishioners to kiss it.
There was a great debate about who should have the honor to kiss for first the statue and it was decided that the lucky were the most old parishioners, a woman of almost ninety years.
Like the pastor handed the Child Jesus,the old woman toke the statue in her arm for kiss, but the statue fell to the hand and crashed to earth in a thousand pieces .......
This story gave rise to a very popular proverb in Prato and the surrounding area, still in use in our times.
When you want to indicate an action that lasts a moment in time, or something that is acquired and is at once damaged, they say: 'do the end of the Child Jesus of Castelnuovo, BORN AND DEAD ......."
