Geocache Description:


The 484th Collection and Classification company,was also known as a salvage company. They would take good parts from damaged equipment and put it back into the supply system.The 484th was first located on west fourth str. in Lewistown.they built this center in the early 1980's The 484th was deployed in the first gulf war in 1991.In about 2005 they were decommissioned and no longer exist.this is a tribute to the local men and women that served.there is no longer a unit at this building. this cache over looks the old Army reserve building but is not on the property and there is no reason to go on that land. and is best accessed at the playground. CONGRATULATIONS TO JOCKSTER FTF 2/29/16 The building is now owned by Derry Township,we changed the cache container the old one was damaged
