Muddy in winter
A walk or drive through the pretty village of Foston on the Wolds, picking up clues to gain the coordinates for the final cache which is hidden on a public footpath Which is also a lovely peaceful Nature Reserve.
This quiet village lies off the B1248 road and its one mile long main street is lined with stately looking properties many of which stand behind ornate walls and wrought iron fences. All the gardens and lawns are kept neat giving the village a very tidy and pretty appearance.
A disused water pump sits on the verge side as an ornate reminder of days gone by. St Andrews Church, which also serves Gembling and Brigham, dates back to the 13th Century and has a Norman Nave and chancel.
