Bailey spotted this TeePee today while on her way to Madras to geocache. These wigwam burners use to be quite common several decades ago. Nice to see them not being used any more.
Tried to locate this close to the highway right-of-way and yet within safe reach. When I was working summers in northern California, earning money to attend UCSB in Santa Barbara, I worked at Pacific Lumber Company in Scotia. Those wigwam burners were perhaps 2-3 times the height of this one and were built on concrete piers with tunnels for capturing the ash. We use to clean the tunnels each summer, during annual maintenance, a task easily qualified for the "Dirty Jobs" program series.
