Welcome to Sorority Row! This is a puzzle cache at UCLA which will serve to enlighten your knowledge about Sororities and provide you with a quick history lesson.
The cache is not at the above coordinates. You must answer the questions and solve the puzzle to get the actual location of the cache. Sororities are a huge part of the college experience for many women around the country and they represent way more than what pop culture and the media like to portray. Being on a college campus, I thought it would be appropriate to introduce a cache that will educate cachers on the history of these organizations. With a little searching on the web, you should be able to answer the questions and calculate the coords rather easily. You just have to be willing to put in a little time and if you know where to search, it shouldn’t take you very long at all. Q # 1: How many sororities are currently part of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC)? = AB Q # 2: Sororities, as we know them today, were originally called, “Women’s Fraternities” until a Syracuse University professor named Dr. Frank Smalley infamously coined the word "Sorority." This term has been used ever since. In what year did Dr. Smalley coin the word Sorority? = CDEF N 34 04 .C7F W 118 AB.(11-E) 4 (D/2)
