This cache will take you to one of the playing fields of a unique game invented in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
When I was a child I passed this location many times and was always intrigued as to what it was all about. I never saw anyone playing the game but the facilities were always spic and span. With the availability of the internet I decided to do a search on Trugo and all was explained. The game has an interesting origin and history. (Feel free to do a Google search for all the details).
The cache is a 400ml sistema container and the biggest obstacle will be muggles. Please ensure the cache is hidden from view when replacing. Enjoy.
I heard on the radio that the last game of trugo will be played on this ground on 2/4/2009 as the club has struggled to field a team and looks like folding. The existing club members will relocate to other Trugo clubs in Melbourne. Unfortunately the Footscray Trugo Club looks like folding. Hopefully the grounds will remain if only for the historical value. Time will tell. The cache will remain as long as possible.
