Second Cache in Woodlea Wander Series
This is the second cache of a multi-cache series called the Woodlea Wander! The other caches are
1. Myrtle Furtle GC1JWRQ
2. Beech Comber GC1K0C2
3. Rooting Around GC1K13R
4. It’s a Puzzle Lewis GC1K14J
The caches in this series are all on or close to the bridleway which travels all the way round the Woodlea Estate. This circular route is a lovely walk of a little more than a mile. The path is suitable for prams and pushchairs. There is plenty of parking on surrounding streets.
The estate is built on the site of the Meanwood Park Hospital which closed in 1997.
There is a very good children’s play park at N53º 50.267, W001º 34.081, and the Myrtle Tavern at N53º 50.182, W001º 34.225 for refreshments.
The cache is a 1.0l lock and lock box in a camouflage fabric bag. It contains a log, pencils and a pencil sharpener (please don’t take the sharpener!!). There is a selection of small swaps etc.
There is a code on the back of the log book, repeated inside the lid of the cache. Make a note of this as you will need it for the final cache in the series.
This cache has lower muggle danger than Myrtle Furtle but the whole area is very popular with dog walkers etc. Please be stealthy when retrieving this cache and please replace the cache and camouflage exactly as you find it.
