The Psyche bend pump station is an historic site on the banks of the Murray river. Dry weather ONLY. Access by 2W drive. Do not atempt after rain. The container is a 1200ml Sistema clip top.

The Psyche bend pump station was built in 1891 by the Chaffey brothers to meet the need of the irrigation settlment in Mildura. The steam engine is a triple expansion steam engine that is rated at 1000 HP at 160 RPM. The steam pump has been replaced with an electric pump which is about 100 MTRs upstream on the Murray river.
