Geocache Description:

Built in 1921, this single lane through truss bridge over Pond creek is a nice example of a classic steel bridge in the southern Cross Timbers region of Oklahoma. You don’t see too many of these still around. This bridge is here because a small creek could be an incredible impediment to those living in the state before modern bridging put one on every section road. I saw 20+ turkeys while setting up the cache, so keep your eyes open and who knows what all you’ll see. I'm not sure why this bridge has a plaque naming it Okmulgee #13. If you know, drop me a line.

The cache IS NOT on the bridge, but is a short distance from the road and parking. You're looking for a quart jar with a few trade items. Watch out for a bit of green briar and some old barbed wire along the ground and enjoy this old bridge while it lasts.
