A few feet off of a nice hiking trail.
The cache is located along the Garcon Point Hiking Trail. There are 2 other caches out there already: Lazy Tree (GC10JBJ) and Andrew's Cache (GC167CR). [ I got my idea for MOM'S 100TH BIRTHDAY by reading about Andrew].This new cache is hidden along the trail " About half way between " the 2 existing ones. You will have to look up the information on the 2 existing ones and do a little math, because the listed coordinates are not for the cache location. They are for the parking lot at the north trail head where you will begin. There are maps available there. The trail is well marked and easy walking. However, you will be walking more than a mile. Also, watch out for snakes and deer flies. The flies are really bad in hot weather. *** NOW - This is how you find the cache. First, take the north coordinates for the 2 existing caches and calculate a north coordinate exactly half way between. Don't worry about the west coordinates,you are not going there. Now,take the trail out to Lazy Tree, then continue along the trail ( Southerly ) until you come to your calculated coordinate. Stop here and you will find - - - - nothing. However, the trail is marked with trees with blue painted blazes. Find the nearest one - it will be less than 100 feet away if you did the math correctly. The cache container is a medium size camo jar with a log, pen and tradeable items. It is hiding behind a bush or a tree, less than 50 feet from that tree with the blue paint. It should be easy to find - not too many hiding places here. I may change the hiding place in the future, but it will always be within 50 feet of that tree. ******** Who wants a BONUS ? ***** I have hidden a mystery bonus cache. It is a zip lock bag with misc. items - including money. There is only one and it is very well hidden. It may be a diff. 3 or 4. Whoever finds it, is going to earn it. It is hidden by some bushes or trees in one of two places. It is either within 20 feet of Lazy Tree or within 50 feet of Andrew's Cache. Happy Hunting. Ready - Set - Go !!!!!!!!
