When my sister and I asked my dad what he wanted for Christmas, he challenged us to be creative and make him something. Since he has started geocaching, I thought a perfect gift would be a cache in his honor. Hence, "In Honor of Capt. Mike."
My dad is a very accomplished person. He's a done a little of everything during his life and I have always thought he brought excellence to whatever he took on. From Granite monument work to carpentry, from Animal husbandry to the study of and reproduction of Native American artifacts, and soap and candle making, I've always thought he chose cool interests. A career military man, I don't know that I've ever told him how proud I am of him and thankful for his service to our country. He is also an artist, a photgrapher, and a pilot. Dad has never been one for garnering attention. Instead, he prefers a more low key approach, sitting back and watching the world around him. I find him to be a man of humility and it's an example I hope others see in me and say, "He's just like his dad."
I AM like my dad in so many ways and he's always been there for me. I love Capt. Mike and it's my pleasure to honor him with the placement of this cache.
Enjoy your hunt.
