Off For A Wander: Up Th'Edge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

pod42: Archived as I'm no longer in the area to care for it. Plenty of space for new caches in the area then :)

Geocache Description:

A traditional cache located just off the summit of Blackstone Edge, with spectacular views to the west; you could say it is the pinnacle of this series. The cache itself is a bath salts tub that should hold up to the elements, but needs to be closed properly.
The series can be incorporated into a very pleasant longer walk (a number of routes could be taken) to take in other caches in the area such as "On the road to nowhere 'Aiggin'" (GCCE83), "Dogs Bowl" (GC110MC), "Windy Hill" (GC3A42), and the Ogden caches to the south, and Hollingworth Lake caches to the south-west. The caching to be had around and above Littleborough and Hollingworth Lake is very good, and I would encourage everyone to have a little explore (with the map, of course!) and see the place for yourself.
Hollingworth Lake has a pay & display car park, and other parking can be found next to the canal opposite Littleborough rail station, or off Ripponden Road near geocache "War of the Roses - The Pink Rose" (GC1DKJP) amongst others.
