A micro cache located in woodland near to Holcombe village. The cache is near to a footpath which leads uphill from Ramsbottom to Holcombe. The path leading up from Ramsbottom can be slippy and muddy at times.
A micro cache located in woodland near to Holcombe village. It is near to a footpath which leads uphill from Ramsbottom to Holcombe. The footpath can be slippy and muddy at times.
It would an ideal start or end of a day of geocaching, as the footpath is one which leads down from the upland area of Holcombe Hill / Moor.
Nearby are good views, which on a good day take you from the delights of Rossendale, Scout Moor and Knowl Hill to the wide expanse of Manchester and the Peak District.
Please be careful, as it can be slippy and muddy, and unfortunately it is not suitable for the disabled (wheelcahir bound and limited mobility) - sorry.
Ways to the cache can be gained from Ramsbottom (an uphill route), or from Holcombe. Holcombe church is nearby and is worth a visit, as is Peel Tower, which can be seen on a good day.
