Dinner Event at the Milano Inn
The January GIG will be held at the Milano Inn. It is
located at 231 South College Ave in downtown Indianapolis. This restaurant has proudly been serving customers since 1934.
If coming from downtown, take South St. eastbound. South Street will intersect College Ave. Turn left on College Ave. and we will be located on your right hand side of the street 1/4 mile up. From 65 or 70 south/west bound, exit off on Fletcher Avenue. Take a right onto Fletcher, and a right onto College. College is one way north at this area. There is plenty of free parking in the restaurant’s own lot, AND a cache very nearby!
The Garden Room has been reserved for us from 6 to 9pm on January 5, 2009. Please register early – by New Years Day if possible. This is not an adult only space. It can hold 40 people. If we have lots of reservations, we may have to move to a larger room.
With groups of this size, the restaurant prefers to have a smaller version of their regular menu so the kitchen doesn’t get backed up and they are better able to serve us. I chose the following menu which highlights some of their best selling entrees. I decided you can get pizza and spaghetti easily or even make it at home, so I didn’t choose either of those. Instead, this is what will be offered.
Large Antipasto Salad $9.50
Lasagna. Wide wavy noodles layered with Ground Beef & our Homemade Tomato Sauce & Mozzarella Cheese & baked “Al Forno” $13.00
Chicken Fettuccine $15.95
Chicken sautéed with Garlic, Onions, White Wine in a Cheese and Cream Sauce Tossed with Fettuccine Noodles.
Chicken Marsala sautéed in a Tasty Dry Marsala Wine Sauce with Mushrooms

Parmesan Crusted Grouper $17.95
Panko and Parmesan Cheese Breaded Grouper Filet served with Steamed Vegetables and a side of Spaghetti Parmesan.
All Entrees Include Bread, Soup or House Salad
Ten days after this event, one of our own members will be undergoing surgery for breast cancer. It is farmerjones8 - Janet, and I ask that everyone keeps her in their thoughts and prayers and I just ask that everyone bring a card or an inspirational clipping or something to let her feel loved and encouraged through this scary time. Also it would be awesome if you could wear something pink!!! We are good at supporting each other, and let's show it now. Thanks for your help!
