A wonderful place to stay or picnic on your way around the Tasman Peninsula
Just south of Port Arthur off the Remarkable Cave Road, is a dirt road leads to a lookout over the surrounding town, port and the Isle of the Dead.
Palmers Lookout is on private property, but the owners have kindly let the public access this wonderful view, and provided binoculars, shelter and a picnic area. A donation box is also there to help with the upkeep of this magnificent area. Gates are open from dawn to dusk.
The cache is NOT in the garden, so please do not fossick about in there. The coordinates may be very off, as it was a very rainy/cloudy day. The use of the hint may be recommended for the first few geocachers attempting this cache. Any suggestions of new coordinates gratefully accepted!
